As a key subconsultant to HNTB Corporation, ESC Polytech Consultants is
providing technical commentary on the program development document for
renovating the FIS at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston,
Texas. Work includes
guiding the format and layout of the document and providing technical
review and comments for the document.
The document includes technical information on design metrics,
construction phasing, architectural requirements, utility requirements,
required baggage handling requirements, TSA security arrangements,
interface with the IAH Terminal Redevelopment Program (ITRP), CBP
requirements, and cost estimates. |

As a key subconsultant to HNTB Corporation, ESC Polytech Consultants
provided technical commentary on the program development document for
renovating/rebuilding the international terminal complex at George Bush
Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.
Work included guiding the format and layout of the document and
providing technical review and comments for the document.
The document included technical information on design metrics,
construction phasing, architectural requirements, aircraft/apron
integration, utility requirements, required roadway improvements,
baggage handling requirements, TSA security arrangements, FIS interface,
and cost estimates. |

#193 Afungi Runway Document Review, Mozambique, Africa (2013 ongoing) –ESC
Polytech Consultants conducted a technical review on a proposed runway
for a private client in Africa.
Work included conducting a technical review of the runway design
and providing technical comments on the runway and taxiway dimensions,
design aircraft, aircraft ramp, airfield facilities, runway orientation,
and other airfield features utilizing FAA and ICAO standards.
Work also included participation in meetings to explain the
comments and to advise the client on how to implement required changes.

- ESC Polytech Consultants worked within a local team of transportation
specialists that advised a potential high speed rail provider on
ridership forecasts, station locations, decision matrices, local
involvement, and station requirements. |

#195 Terminal D Modernization Program, Bush Intercontinental Airport,
Houston, Texas (2013)
– As a primary subconsultant to HNTB Corportation, ESC Polytech
Consultants established the format of the Terminal D Modernization
Program (TDMP) Project Development Manual (PDM), collected technical
data, prepared selected sections of the TDMP PDM, edited the entire
document, and prepared the final document for printing.
The PDM contained technical information on existing conditions,
design for a new terminal building, technical data on new systems for
the building (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, IT, baggage
handling), preliminary cost estimates, environmental overview, landside
projects, and airside projects.

Polytech Consultants developed an airport conceptual layout for a green
field airport in Tanzania, Africa.
Work on the conceptual layout included planning level design of
the airfield (length, width, spacing, turning radii, clearances,
security fencing, basic navigational aids, etc.) and planning level
design of the ramp area (terminal building, hangars, ramp sizing,
fueling system, utility requirements, helipad layout, etc.) |

#192 Terminal D Decision Point Document, Bush Intercontinental Airport,
Houston, Texas (2012) – As a key subconsultant to CH2M Hill, ESC
Polytech Consultants coordinated and prepared the technical document
that detailed the proposed future design of Terminal D in preparation
for a more a detailed advanced planning document.
Work included setting up and participating in staff workshops,
preparing workshop notes, preparing notes on all meetings with staff,
writing portions of the report, coordinating the preparation of
different document sections, and producing the final report.

#192 Terminal D Project Definition Document, Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas (2011) –ESC Polytech Consultants served as a principal contributor to the organization and preparation of the Terminal D Project Definition Document that will direct the interim work on Terminal D through 2012. The Project Definition Document (PDD) covered work required to accommodate Houston’s first scheduled A380 service by Lufthansa to start in 2012, as well as interim upgrades to the aircraft gates and holdrooms. |

PBS&J retained the services of ESC Polytech Consultants, Inc. to provide planning support services on the proposed new runway at George Bush International Airport (IAH) designed to meet FAA standards and requirements. ESC will perform the professional planning services including data gathering, field investigation, planning, and coordination in support of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). ESC will coordinate with various government entities incidental to the design work, and work in conjunction with the FAA & the EIS consultant and construction phasing recommendations. After the initial phase is complete, ESC will help to furnish final design and all construction incidentals if needed and approved. |

Hobby Airport (HOU). ESC duties include project management and other related services. The 24 hour a day Wi-Fi services for the HAS elevate the airport customer experience, become a showcase for the region, and offer a high speed complimentary/free wireless internet service for the traveling public and the Airport community. |
Oct 2008 | #186 Rehabilitation of Runway 4-22 at William P. Hobby Airport, RS&H ESC Polytech Consultants, Inc. was part of the Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc. (RS&H) team to provide planning services for Rehabilitation of Runway 4-22 at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). ESC will perform a pivotal role of ensuring coordination with the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and the HAS HOU Management team. ESC will perform a wide range of planning activities including planning studies, transportation issues, document preparation, agency/public coordination and general support to airport operations. Throughout the design phase of the project, ESC will provide the RS&H team with updates on the drainage master plan development, assist RS&H with FAA coordination, arrange and prepare an agenda for periodic coordination meetings with the FAA and HAS to discuss impacts to operations, flight checks, etc. and provide minutes of these meetings. |

Inc. (ESC) has teamed with the Houston Airport System (HAS) in the planning
and implementation of the Airport Super Bowl
XXXVIII Ground Transportation Plan for George Bush Intercontinental
Airport, William P. Hobby Airport and Ellington Field Airport.
It is anticipated that hundreds of buses and limousines will embark upon all three airports during the Super Bowl. ESC was tasked with developing the ingress and egress routes for the buses and limos. Also, ESC assisted in the development, coordination, and implementation of the Dispatch and Curb Zone Assignment Plan for the buses and limos at the airports. |

Inc. is proud to announce the hiring of Jude Nwambuonwo as a Senior Planner
on transportation projects. Jude’s knowledge and experience includes
extensive experience in Airport Operations and Airport Security, coordinating
various airside, landside, construction and training activities as well
as development, testing and evaluating procedures for maximum preparedness
to respond to any security related emergency and disaster. He is a graduate
of Texas Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in Aviation
Science and a master’s degree in Transportation Planning.
ESC Polytech Consultants, Inc. was awarded a contract by PARSONS to develop a threat & vulnerability and security review for the Houston Airport System. This review entails a series of assessments and various planning exercises to identify and evaluate potential security threats, areas of vulnerability, and associated risks at the three Houston area airports. Subsequent to completing the assessments, the development of a Security Master Plan will be prepared. |
